Dear EdCILians,

                                                                              Happy new year to you all !!!

I hope you celebrated the start of 2017 in good spirit with family and friends. Now that we’re a few days into the New Year, it’s good to look ahead and explore as to what this year may bring for us.
 
But first, let’s have a quick look back. 2016 was a watershed year for all of us. We’ve been through many exciting developments. We’ve achieved a huge success in more than doubling our turnover and five fold increase in profit before tax in FY 2015-16. In line with EdCIL’s  growth strategy ( FY 2017-18 to 2021-22) and drive momentum, we engaged the services of a top global strategy consultant to design a medium term growth strategy plan – Project “Uday” . I am happy to share that the final business plan (where to play) of all business verticals is near completion. Simultaneously, we are in final stages of rolling out the RFP for SI partner selection for rolling out ERP. This will create a roadmap towards process excellence in all our operations at EdCIL.

Our order book position looks healthy with significant pipeline deals from key customers. The net outlook on the education sector, on line recruitment, project management services, Digital Education Services and overseas education provide huge business opportunities for EdCIL to scale up its operation. With the creation of the centralised business development vertical, we are committed to expand our outreach and convert emerging leads into firm orders.

The year of 2016 also witnessed sharper focus on building talent pipeline through a blend of young management trainees (Business schools /GATE) and experienced professionals from CPSE/corporate world. The camaraderie of new and experienced employees  has resulted in few early wins reflecting in the areas of corporate branding and networking,  awards and accolades, employee town hall, earmarked training and development for management trainees and project managers, SOP for DPRs and e –brochure, to name a few.
 
EdCIL, is at an inflexion point and is undergoing a transformational journey. Sectoral opportunities are enormous and requires us to be agile, innovative and outcome focused. While we have seen great success in the year gone by, we are hungry to do more. Modern industry respects speed of execution and innovation in services. 
 
Hon’ble PM’s committed goals, of sustained high growth over coming decades to pull large sections out of poverty trap, would be served if education transformation is catalysed with scaled up consulting and project management support of the Company.  We must commit to ourselves by demonstrating to our clients how we can render valued added business solutions  within the agreed budget and time. This will only be possible with your continued dedication and teamwork. 

I would like to thank you all for your significant support and dedication during these changing times. The year ahead will bring its own challenges but I’m sure by all Edcilians working together, keeping focussed on our priorities and putting our customers first, we can realise our aspirations. I am convinced I can count on you to do the same.
